Description
No. 76 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century, with possible origins in the 17th century, and has undergone later additions and alterations, including a ground-floor shop front added around 1908. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond, featuring flat arches made of red gauged brick, an ashlar cornice, and sills, topped with a plain tile roof. The first and second floors have 6/6 sash windows, while the third floor has 3/3 sash windows, all set in near-flush frames with flat arches of gauged brick and sills. The building also has a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
