Description

The Taylor memorial, located about 28 metres south of the Church of St John the Baptist, is an early 19th-century churchyard memorial made of ashlar. It features a narrow rectangular moulded plinth with a sunk channel above, tall battered sides, and a projecting ridged capping, all with rebated corners. The north panel commemorates Thomas William Taylor, who died in 1817, while the south panel commemorates Thomas Taylor, who died in 1847, and his wife, Celia Jane Taylor, who died in 1890.
