Description

This is a house dating from circa 1780 to 1820, part of a terrace. It is built of painted stucco, designed to resemble ashlar, and has a plain clay tile roof with dentilled eaves. The roof is punctuated by two brick stacks, one projecting slightly, both topped with pots. The house has an L-shaped plan and a central lobby, connecting with number 65.

The two-storey house with attic and cellar has two first-floor windows, the one on the right being slightly higher than the left. The windows are 6/6 or 8/8 sashes set in near-flush frames, with sills and channelled wedge lintels with capped keystones. A canted bay window with 6/6 glazing extends from the right side of the ground floor, topped with a cornice. The front door is wide, with the upper half glazed and the lower half having raised and fielded panels. The doorcase features tapered fluted pilasters and an open dentilled pediment, above which is a fanlight with a radial scrolled wrought-iron grille. There are two gabled dormers with paired casements; the left has six-pane glazing and the right has two-pane glazing. A skylight sits between them. A 6/12 window is present in the attic of the right return, along with an 8/8 window to the first floor. A rear wing mirrors the style of the front portion of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
