Description

Perdiswell Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of brick and has a plain clay tile roof, featuring painted stone sills. The building has three ridge stacks with oversailing detail and pots.

The plan of the cottage is simple and rectangular, one room deep, with later wings added at right angles, creating an L-shaped layout. The elevation is asymmetric and consists of a single storey with an attic. There are four attic windows, including three half dormers and one full dormer, all fitted with two-over-two sash windows. The ground floor has additional sash windows in various configurations: six-over-six, eight-over-eight, and eight-over-twelve, all nearly flush beneath cambered brick arches with sills. The entrance features a five-panel door, where the bottom pair of panels is flush-beaded, and the centre and upper panes are raised and fielded, complemented by panelled reveals and a moulded architrave. A later gabled porch is also present, along with a 20th-century part-glazed door located at the far left of the elevation.

The interior has not been inspected.
