Description

Kenswick Mill Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The farmhouse is timber-framed with brick infill, although the front and right side elevations are rendered and painted to imitate timbering. It has a tiled roof and external brick stacks, one at the rear left with tiled offsets, and another to the right of the rear ridge. The farmhouse originally comprised three framed bays, and is single-storied with an attic containing dormers. The left gable end reveals a queen-strut truss with double collars. The window openings are irregular, with 20th-century casements throughout. The front elevation has two ground-floor casements, two gabled dormers with tiled cheeks and casements, and a central doorway with a timber-framed, gabled porch and a part-glazed door. The interior was not inspected.
