Description

This monument, dating from the late 18th century, features an urn on a pedestal and is enclosed by railings. It is located about 7 metres south-west of the south porch of the Church of St Peter in Martley. The urn is made of stone and is decorated with floral swags, resting on a square cuboid pedestal that has a moulded base and cornice. The enclosure is formed by wrought iron railings, also in a square plan. The inscription on the panels of the urn is now illegible.
