Description
Hulls Monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, about 1.5 meters north of the tower of the Church of St. Margaret. It was likely constructed in 1826 and is made of stone. The monument features an urn with a reeded bowl and a swept base, along with a step leading to a moulded edge at the top. The plain frieze has raised ovals on the sides with corner paterae and a moulded top to the base, which has indented corners. The monument stands on a large, square platform that originally had iron railings. It includes painted inscriptions from 1759 to 1772 on one side in Latin, additional inscriptions from 1772 to 1792 on the second side, inscribed and painted lettering from 1826, and further inscriptions up to 1973, all related to the Hulls family.
