Garden Wall To Walled Garden To East Of Croome Court And Gardener'S Cottage In North West Corner

The garden wall to the former kitchen garden of Croome Court dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features four sides. In the northeast and northwest corners, there are stone doorways with cambered heads, keystones, and block rustication on the sides. Adjacent to the garden wall is a later gardener's cottage located in the northwest corner, which was remodeled in the mid-19th century. This cottage is also made of red brick and has a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys tall with a brick block eaves cornice and three slightly irregular windows on the south side, featuring single-hung sashes. The first floor appears to incorporate two former out-house or garden building walls with irregular features. There is a glazed and gabled wooden porch to the left, leading to a four-panelled door. Additionally, there is a single-storey L-plan wing that is a lean-to off the north garden wall, and two brick stacks are located at the rear (west) of the cottage, along with one mid-19th century iron casement window on the first floor facing north.
