Description

Thoulds Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a core dating from the 17th century, extended in the early 18th and 19th centuries. The north range has a 17th-century timber-frame and painted brick construction, extended by one bay at each end in the early 18th century. The painted brick is characterised by coped gables and brick bands, with a plain tile roof and a stack in the northwest corner. This range has cambered-head windows to its gable ends. A similar, painted brick, early 18th-century range runs parallel to the west end, also with a coped west gable. These two ranges are connected by a 19th-century painted brick range with a slate roof and a ridge stack. The east front features a two-window range.
