Description
Cobwalls is a 17th-century house that features a timber-framed structure with painted brick. It has a gabled plain tile roof with end-wall stacks and two 19th-century gabled dormers. The building is one storey and has an attic, with a two-window range. The square framing consists of five by two panels, and there are two small 19th-century projecting windows on brackets, along with a very small triangular oriel window in between. The windows have glazing bars. At the north end, there is a one-storey timber-framed lean-to shop with a glazing bar shop window. A brick rear wing was added in 1961, and an extension was made to the south side in 1986. A panel carved in 1905 displays the inscription "Ye Old House 1608."
