Description
The Hall Barn is a barn that dates from the late 16th century to the early 17th century. It features a timber frame that is underbuilt in brick below the mid-rail, with brick infill and a tiled roof. The barn consists of four bays, with a threshing floor located in the second bay from the east. The structure was originally timber-framed up to the sill level but has been bricked with perforated brick for ventilation. There are two panels from the mid-rail to the wall-plate. The gables include two collar beams supported by four and two queen struts. The east gable has lozenge-shaped ventilation in the brickwork and retains a central post down to the sill level. Inside, there are three inclined strut trusses.
