Description

This is a boundary post located in Great Malvern, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a square section with a pyramidal top. The post features relief lettering that reads "THIS ESTATE/THE/PROPERTY OF/CLERKENWELL/LONDON/W.C. FISH/C. HELLIS (Churchwardens)/1845." This boundary post is part of a group that was erected to mark the boundary of the Clerkenwell estate, which was given as a gift by Sir George Strode to the poor of the parish of Clerkenwell in London in the mid-17th century.
