Description
No 74 on Cedar Avenue is an 18th-century building that features a rough rendered front elevation. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a dentil brick eaves cornice. The front has two windows with slightly segmental arches and a two-storey 19th-century rectangular bay that has a penticed roof. The ground floor includes one window and a glazed porch. There is a modern stone wing that extends at right angles to the main structure. The rear elevation is made of brick and also has a dentil brick eaves cornice, along with two gabled dormers and external stacks. The roof has been replaced with tiles, and the windows feature 19th-century glazing bars.
Attached to this building is a former 17th-century cottage that is one storey high, constructed with square panel timber-framing and brick infill. This cottage has one small dormer, a four-light window, and a plain door.
