Description

No 148 Worcester Road is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage featuring plastered panels. It has a tiled roof with gabled ends and has been extended to the right (south-west) with a gabled wing at the rear, likely from the 19th century, which has a painted brick and roughcast elevation. The cottage is one storey with attics. On the ground floor, there are three metal-frame casement windows with leaded panes and ledge hoods. To the right, there is a doorway with a porch that has wood lattice sides. A large early 20th-century dormer with decorative sham timber-framing is located in the gable. To the left (north-east), there is a substantial brick chimney stack with tiled lean-tos at the front and rear.
