Description

A row of houses and shops dating from the early to mid-19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. The building is constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof and a brick stack at the north end. It is two storeys high and has four bays. The ground floor features an altered sash window with a cambered head, and a canted oriel window resting on two brackets with a moulded cornice and plate glass windows. Four four-pane sash windows are located on the first floor. There are two 19th-century shop fronts, and at the left end, two half-glazed doors, while a ledged and battened door provides access to a passageway on the right end. This building is included on the listing for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding area.
