Description
Bank House is a house that originated as a cottage in the 17th century and was enlarged in the 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with brick infill and additional brickwork from the 20th century. The roof is half-hipped and covered with slate, while the original cottage was thatched. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west, with an external stack on the east side that is now enclosed by a 20th-century projecting cross-range aligned north to south. The house has two storeys and an angled entrance elevation. The original cottage section to the right has simple casement windows, one on each floor, along with a dormer and a three-light window in the extension. There is also a corner porch with a glazed door. The framing is nearly complete, featuring four panels high to the wall-plate with diagonal bracing at the gable end. Inside, there is a large altered open fireplace.
