Description

The North Lodge and gate pier at the north-west gate to Hewell Park is an early 19th-century structure, likely designed by Thomas Cundy Senior. It is built of stuccoed brick and features a hipped slate roof. The lodge consists of two rectangular blocks connected by a smaller block, with a porch on the south side for the carriageway. The west front has one storey with a moulded cornice and parapet. Each block has a window featuring a glazing bar sash, topped with a pediment and a blind balustrade below. The wall between the two blocks and the wall to the left each have a fixed casement. The entrance on the right return front is framed by two Doric columns and includes a half-glazed door. The square-plan gate pier is connected to the lodge by a plain overthrow.
