Description
West Lodge and attached gates, gatepiers, and wall is a lodge built in the early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior with limestone ashlar dressings and a pyramidal Welsh slate roof, along with a rendered rear stack. The lodge is polygonal in shape with a rear wing and stands two storeys tall. It has a 19th-century four-panelled door with iron brackets supporting a flat hood, and two-light leaded casements. A moulded cornice and a raised storey band continue as an eaves band on the one-storey rear wing, which is made of similar materials. There are 20th-century rear extensions. The interior has not been inspected. To the right, there are stucco gatepiers and iron gates attached to a chalk rubble wall with tile coping. This building was the west lodge to Shirburn Park.
