Description

A house, likely dating from the 15th century, which has been divided into two houses and a shop. It was altered in the 19th century and again in the mid-20th century. The house is timber-framed with rendered infill panels and a tile roof. It is two storeys high, with a gabled cross-wing on the right side. There are two windows on the left and one on the right. The windows are 2-light casements. The ground floor of No. 14 projects to the right, with a flat roof and a multi-pane shop window from the 20th century. The entrance to No. 14 is to the right of center, with a glazed door. To the left (No. 12), there is a 3-light casement window, and to its right is an entrance with a wooden architrave and a 6-panel door. The timber frame has close-studding on the first floor, while the ground floor studding has been removed. The gable of the cross-wing has decorative timber framing from the 19th century, but the side wall retains the original close-studding on the first floor. The interior was not inspected but is likely to be of interest.
