Description

No. 7 King Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and was restored in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and has a tiled roof with a double-depth plan. It stands three storeys high and features a four-window range with a top cornice. The windows have rusticated wedge lintels above modern (20th century) sash windows: the first floor has 12-pane sashes, while the second floor has 6-pane sashes. The shop front, also from the 20th century, is double-fronted with paired round-headed lights and includes a modern wrought-iron bracket. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a row of Georgian houses on King Street, which were built after 1751.
