Description
The wall and gatepiers located to the north of the Church of St Peter were built in the early 19th century, with a mid-19th century extension and early 20th century gatepiers. The structure extends approximately 57 meters along the north side of the churchyard and returns south to the northwest angle of the church along steps. It is constructed from ashlar and rock-faced stone. The ashlar wall features chamfered coping, while the battered gatepiers are topped with ball finials, although the gates are missing. The wall at the angle of the church is made of rock-faced stone with weathered coping. This structure is included for its group value with the church.
