Description

The war memorial in Darlaston, built around 1920, is made of marble and features a bronze statue. It has a square plan and stands on a base with two steps, supported by clasping buttresses at the corners. At the top, there is a statue of a soldier holding a rifle. One plaque on the memorial commemorates those who died in the First World War (1914-1918), while a second plaque added to the base lists the names of those who died in the Second World War (1939-1945).
