Description
This is a milepost located approximately 40 metres north of the tower of Christ Church in Oldbury, dating from around 1800. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a sloping top. The top is inscribed with "TO LONDON 114 MILES". The left side features a pointing finger in relief along with an illegible inscription, while the right side has a similar design with a partly legible inscription that reads "BIRM ... MILES".
