Description
The Junction Public House is a mid-19th century building located on Birmingham Street in Oldbury. It is constructed of brick with painted stucco or stone dressings and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has three bays on both the west and south sides.
On the ground floor, there are fluted Doric pilasters that support an entablature. The west wall has a truncated pilaster in the center, separating two 20th-century windows, with doorways on either side flanked by pilasters. The south wall's windows are also flanked by pilasters, with the middle window being narrower, and there is a doorway on the left side.
The upper storeys of the west elevation have chamfered quoins. The windows on both elevations are sash windows with margin lights. The first-floor windows feature a decorated sill band and cornices on brackets, which are also decorated. The second-floor windows have decorated sills. The eaves are bracketed, and the roof is hipped at the west end and gabled at the east. There are chimneys located between the second and third bays of the south elevation, positioned in front of and behind the ridge, aligned with the first bay.
