Description

Barr House is an early 19th-century brick house located on Newton Road in Great Barr. It has a hipped tile roof and stands two storeys tall with four bays. The windows are sashed and feature glazing bars. The door, situated in the second bay, is framed by a varnished oak pilaster doorcase. The brickwork is partially obscured by ivy, making it difficult to see all details. There are chimneys on the left side and to the right of the third bay. The right-hand return wall has two bays with similar windows, and the ground floor windows have tumbled brick heads. A brick dentil course is present at the eaves.
