Description
The Spouthouse Aqueduct is an aqueduct that carries the Tame Valley Canal over Spouthouse Lane. The canal was opened in 1844. The structure is built from rock-faced sandstone and brick. The road passes through a tall sandstone round arch, which features rusticated voussoirs and impost blocks. Within this arch, there is a lower shallow segmental brick arch. The brick infill above this lower arch is decorated with concentric circular depressions.
