Description
Chimney Bridge is a footbridge that was formerly a road bridge carrying Green Lane over the Tame Valley Canal. It was built in 1844 and is made of cast iron, with abutments constructed from rock-faced sandstone and some brick. The bridge features a single very shallow segmental arch. The sides, above the girders, are pierced to create a lattice pattern of saltire crosses.
