Description
Brickfields Turnover Bridge is a footbridge that was formerly a road bridge, located at the rear of Chatsworth Avenue over the Tame Valley Canal, which opened in 1844. The bridge is constructed of cast iron, with brick abutments and some sandstone dressings. It features a single very shallow segmental arch. The sides above the girders are pierced to create a lattice pattern of saltire crosses.
