Description
The granary, cowshed, and stable range, located approximately 15 meters northwest of Hungerley Hall Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century, with the stable featuring an early 19th-century roof. Constructed from red brick and topped with plain-tile roofs, the building is arranged in an L-shape, with the stable projecting forward on the right.
On the left, the two-storey granary has both double and single doors, brick dentilled eaves, and a doorway at the left end. The single-storey cowshed in the center has four stable doors. The two-storey stable features a central stable door, a blind window above it, and shuttered windows on either side on both floors. There is a lean-to on the left end and a loft door on the right end.
Inside, the granary has a two-bay roof with coupled rafters, old purlins, and a brick partition. The cowshed boasts an eight-bay roof with chamfered ties, clasped principals, and trenched overlapping purlins, along with a plank ridge. The stable includes a hay loft, stop-chamfered beams with run-out stops, and an early 19th-century three-bay king-post truss roof.
