This is a timber-framed house dating from the late 16th or early 17th century. The timber frame is filled with whitewashed brick. It has a tiled roof. The house is two storeys high, featuring a casement window with glazing bars. A single-storey rear wing extends from the main structure. It is joined to number 8 Brinklow Road, and, with numbers 10 to 12 (even), forms a group.
