Description
This building is a former granary, stable, and cowhouse located approximately 10 yards east of Blythfields Farmhouse. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof. The stable is on the left with the granary above it, while the low cowhouse is on the right.
The granary and stable feature a segmental headed door on the left and a small casement window in the center. Tallet steps lead up to the granary door located in the west gable.
The cowhouse is a single storey with four bays defined by brick piers, which are enclosed by wooden fences that include doors.
Inside, the roof trusses have angled struts extending from the tie beam to the principal rafters, with one pair of purlins and a ridge piece. There are also three original wooden stall divisions.
