Description
Braddocks Barn Farmhouse is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with some early 19th-century alterations. It features a timber frame with brick nogging and a small addition from the 19th century. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a single brick gable stack. The building is single storey plus attic, displaying two bays of box-framing, and includes a brick gable addition to the east that encloses what was once an external gable stack.
On the south front, there is a central wooden doorway with a plank door, flanked by two single, two-light glazing bar sliding sashes. Above, there are two gabled dormers, each with a two-light glazing bar casement. The rear wall has two lean-to sheds made of corrugated iron, a doorway with a plank door, and a two-light glazing bar casement to the left, along with a small gabled dormer featuring a two-light casement above.
Inside, the farmhouse contains an inglenook fireplace, stud partitions, panel doors, and a winder staircase with splat balusters. The ceilings are adorned with chamfered spine beams, and the original roof structure remains largely intact.
