Description

This is a summerhouse located on Plot 39, built around the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a roof covered in felt with gable ends that have wavy bargeboards. There is a brick stack at the gable end. The building has a small rectangular plan and is a single-cell structure with an entrance at one end and a fireplace at the other. It is a single storey with a symmetrical gabled front, which includes a central pointed arch doorway with a plank door, flanked by smaller pointed arch windows on either side.

The interior has not been inspected. Stoney Road Gardens, also known as Park Gardens, was developed as a group of small pleasure gardens for the owners of townhouses in Coventry who lacked their own gardens. These gardens were established shortly after 1853, and by 1887, the northern half of the site had been organized into small gardens enclosed by hedges and separated by paths. Only eight of the original summerhouses remain.
