Description
9 The Quadrant is a mid-19th century building featuring stucco and a Welsh slated roof. It stands three storeys tall and has a second-floor entablature with a modillion cornice. The building includes sash windows, a plinth, a first-floor band, and a sill band. On the left side, there is a single-storey canted bay with cast iron railings leading to a first-floor balcony. The ground floor has a door with an oblong fanlight, framed by coupled Doric pilasters beneath an entablature, and round-headed windows on the right with a cornice supported by consoles. Each upper floor has three windows with architrave surrounds, and there is a French window on the left of the first floor. This building is included for its group value, as it is part of a consecutive row with Nos 1 to 10.
