Description

The Roving Bridge over the entrance to the Birmingham Fazeley Canal at Fazeley Junction, dated 1827, is a cast iron bridge made by Horseley Ironworks. It features an elliptical arch constructed from two pairs of castings that are secured by vertical stanchions at the crown. The bridge's parapets are decorated with an X pattern that includes a quatrefoil band beneath the handrail. The bridge is supported by ashlar footings on swept brick abutments.
