Description
79 Cambridge Street is a Grade II listed building, dating from around 1820. This canal-side works and warehouse is a two-storey rectangular structure made of red brick, featuring a central yard. It has a hipped slate roof with a moulded bed at the shallow eaves. The building is symmetrical, with two and a half bay wings on either side of a pediment-gabled central section that includes a broad basket handle arched wagon way leading into the yard. The windows are revealed three by three pane sashes with rubber brick flat arches and stone sills. Above the archway, there is a small attic light. The canal side elevation has similar window arrangements and includes two loading bays.
