Description
Nos 6 and 8 Edward Street is an early to mid-19th century building constructed of brick with a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and features five bays. The ground floor has two sash windows with cornices and elongated brackets, with the left window being wider than the right. There is also a broad segment-headed archway leading to the workshops behind, an arched doorway, and a segment-headed window that includes thin wooden mullions and transoms. The first floor contains five windows, each with cornices supported by elongated brackets. The second floor also has five windows, which are set beneath lintels within the eaves frieze. The arrangement of the first and second floor windows follows a pattern of wide, narrow, wide, narrow, and wide, with all sash windows featuring marginal glazing bars and bold sills.
