Description
No. 7 Carpenter Road is a detached Grecian villa built around 1830. It stands two storeys high and is faced with stucco. The front of the building is symmetrical with three bays, and it is flanked by coach houses. The design features giant panelled quoin pilasters that support a plain frieze. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring overhanging eaves and flanking chimney stacks. The windows are plainly revealed and retain their glazing bar sashes. The porch has a simplified Venetian design, with coupled panelled piers supporting a central segmental arch and flat-headed side arches, topped with a blocking course and a vertical pediment over the centre. The coach houses have segmental arched doors, with the left one being detached and linked by a wall that has a segmental arched side entrance.
