Description
No 11 Carpenter Road is a Grade II listed villa built around 1830. This compact, unaltered two-storey building features a three-bay façade with a stucco finish and a low-pitched gable end slate roof, which has deep slate eaves and flanking chimney stacks topped with ornamental pots. The ground floor has revealed glazing bar sash windows that extend down to the plinth, while the central first-floor window is adorned with an eared architrave.
The entrance is distinguished by engaged Tuscan columns and a deep entablature, leading to panelled reveals, a soffit, and a door that opens into the lobby. The inner door is partly glazed and flanked by sidelights, with consoles supporting a cornice above. To the right, there is a stucco, coped screen wall that includes segmental arched coach house doors. The rear elevation is exposed brick and features a large central round-headed stair light with glazing bars.
