Description

Thomas Ingram and Company Limited (Santon Works) is a building constructed around 1910. It is made of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. The structure has two storeys plus an attic and consists of three bays, with the outer bays slightly advanced and flanked by stone-banded pilasters, each topped with attics that have undulating heads.

On the ground floor, there is a broad tripartite arched window with radiating voussoirs, along with four tripartite segment-headed windows set in moulded eared frames. The segment-headed entrance and a flanking tripartite segment-headed window are both enclosed within a stone frame that has a bracketed cornice above. The windows have casements with glazing bars.

The first floor features a tripartite window with side lights, which, along with the arched tripartite window in the attic, resembles a Venetian window. There are also four nearly square tripartite windows with transoms and another Venetian-type window. All first-floor windows are adorned with a moulded stone band across their heads. The building has a brick parapet and stone coping on the central bay. To the left, there is a later addition, a single-storey bay with a segment-headed entrance.
