Description
The Limes is a mid-19th century pair of houses that are treated as one building. It stands two storeys high and features six bays, with the second and fifth bays slightly advanced and the entrances located in the first and sixth bays. The second and fifth bays each have an arched window on the ground floor, surrounded by a moulded frame, and a sash window on the first floor. The third and fourth bays each contain a sash window within a moulded surround on the ground floor, along with a sash window on the first floor. The entrance to No 136 is located in a single-storey porch bay on the right, featuring a panelled door set between Doric columns, which are enclosed within an arched concave surround. The entrance to No 138 appears to have been altered and is situated in a bay with a stuccoed ground floor that has banded rustication, while the first floor is made of brick and includes two sash windows, one with three panes and the other with two panes. The building also has a plinth and a blocking course.
