Description

The building at 26 Lichfield Road dates to around 1680 and is attributed to Sir William Wilson. It originally served as the gatehouse for Moat House. The structure is primarily red brick with ashlar detailing and features a gabled roof with stone copings. It stands two storeys high and has two sash windows with moulded lintels. Stone pilasters are present, as is an elliptical carriage arch on the right side; a modern shop front occupies the left. There are two gables visible on the front elevation, and one on the south side. Nos 24 and 26 Lichfield Road are considered a group.
