Description

Nos 86 to 92 on Hagley Road in Edgbaston are an early 19th-century terrace originally featuring two coach houses in the middle and one at each end. Alterations and the demolition of the coach house at No 92 have disrupted the original symmetry. The buildings are constructed of stucco with a slate roof and stand two storeys tall, with each house comprising three bays. The ground floor is rusticated, featuring a central door flanked by Roman Doric columns, a fanlight, and two sash windows set in shallow arched recesses. There is a band at the first-floor sill level. The first floor has three windows, with the central window being three panes wide and the others four panes wide. No 86 includes a late 19th-century canted bay window on the ground floor, while No 88 has the entire ground floor extended as a shop front. Nos 90 and 92 feature a late 19th-century bay window on the ground floor.
