Description

No. 103, Bristol Road is a detached stucco villa dating from around 1840. It is closely associated with No. 99, sharing a long, private drive and set well back from the road. The house is constructed of stucco and has a hipped slate roof with bracketed, flat eaves, and corniced stucco chimneys. It has a four-bay front with tall windows on the ground floor, their sills positioned just above ground level. These windows originally had sash glazing but have been replaced by French casements. The first floor retains plain sashes. A round-headed doorway is flanked by panelled reveals and a soffit; originally, it had a trellis-covered tent-roof porch. A lower, two-storey service wing, with coach house doors, extends to the rear.
