Description

This is a 17th century timber-framed barn located 16 yards to the east of Wainbody Wood Farmhouse in Stoneleigh. It stands on sandstone foundations and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends. The barn has square panelling with red brick infill and includes braces from the wall plate and cill beam. On both the east and west elevations, the central bay has been blocked with modern red brickwork, and timber doors have been inserted.
