Description
This is a house dating to around 1830, with later additions and alterations. It may have been designed by William Thomas. The house is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with a painted stucco front facade and a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high with a basement, and has two windows on the first floor. The ground floor features a tripartite window to the left, with a central 4/4 sash window with margin lights flanked by 2/2 sashes, all in plain reveals with sills and tooled architraves. An entrance to the right leads to a part-glazed door with an overlight, both with margin lights, set within a 20th-century glazed porch. A concealed basement is present. The exterior features a frieze, cornice, blocking course, copings, and end stacks, the left-hand stack being particularly tall with a decorative cornice. Decorative ridge tiles are also visible. The interior has not been inspected. Beauchamp Avenue was originally laid out as Beauchamp Terrace around 1828. The house forms a group with number 47.
