Description
No. 16 Russell Terrace is an early 19th-century house with later alterations, including a mid-20th century extension to the rear. It is constructed of reddish-brown brick with painted stucco facades, and has a Welsh slate roof. The house is two storeys high with three windows on the first floor. The first floor features six-over-six sash windows in plain reveals and with moulded sills. The ground floor has a plinth and a central entrance reached by two roll-edged steps leading to a four-panel door with overlight, set within a surround of Tuscan pilasters, entablature and blocking course. The ground floor windows are six-over-nine sashes in moulded, eared surrounds, with a frieze and cornice. The roof is hipped with a rear stack featuring a cornice. The right return elevation has four six-over-six sash windows, two to each floor, in plain reveals with moulded sills, those on the ground floor having a frieze and cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
