Description
The fountain in the rose garden, located 150 meters south-east of the Abbey, is an ornamental feature from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of Coade stone or a similar artificial material and showcases a whimsical rustic style. The fountain has a tripod base designed to resemble rocks, supporting a round stem that mimics entwined branches. Above this stem, there are three round bowls of decreasing size, each with rolled and lobed rims. A central metal multiple jet enhances the fountain's design. It is set within a round basin that has a moulded kerb in a rustic style, featuring high-relief figures of animals.
