Description

Watts Cottages, located on Whitnash Road, is a timber-framed cottage range dating from the 17th century. The building features painted brick infill panels and several wattle and daub panels on the upper storey. It has a steeply pitched thatched roof with gabled ends and an L-shaped plan due to a gabled wing on the east side. The cottages are two storeys high and have three plank doors—one on the west side and two on the north elevation. The windows include various 19th-century casements and two splayed oriel bay windows on the upper floor of the west elevation. There are two brick chimney stacks, one located at the ridge and the other on the gable end.
