Description

79 and 81 Whitnash Road is a timber-framed house dating from around the 17th century. It has been divided into two cottages and extended by one bay at the eastern end. The exterior features painted brick infill panels and a thatched roof, which has a gable end and is hipped over the extended section. The building is two storeys high and has a range of three windows. The windows are modern casements with leaded panes. Number 79 has a thatched hood over its doorway, while number 81 features a modern ground floor bay window and a porch combined. There are brick ridge chimney stacks, and a single storey modern lean-to is located at the western end.
